As a Journalist, a Minister, and a Lifelong Learner, I am trained to look at the systems that govern life. In America, those systems are currently in a state of catastrophic “parallax”—the image we are sold of a unified, free nation does not match the raw data of the lived experience.

The Biological Lie of Race

The Genetic Reality: Welcome to America, where we are taught that “all men are created equal” and where modern science has proven there is no biological basis for “race” in humans—that we are one single, interlinked species—yet we continue to build entire legal, social, and economic hierarchies based on the amount of melanin in a person’s skin.

The Stolen Foundation: Welcome to America, where we stand on soil we took by force and treaty-breaking from Native Americans, then tell the descendants of those original inhabitants to “go back where they came from” or “respect the law of the land.”

The Hypocrisy of Heritage: Welcome to America, where we discriminate against Black and Asian citizens whose labor built the transcontinental railroads and the Southern economy, while celebrating “pioneer spirit” that was subsidized by government land grants and ethnic cleansing.

The Mathematics of Disposable People

The Surplus Citizenry: Welcome to America, where we have 330 million people but only 164 million to 170.5 million jobs. We are a nation where nearly 160 million people are technically “surplus” in a system that defines your right to eat and have a home exclusively by your employment status.

The Productivity Gap: Welcome to America, where worker productivity has skyrocketed since the 1970s, yet real wages have remained flat. You are being “optimized” like a piece of software, producing more wealth for your employer every year while your own purchasing power evaporates.

The Debt Engine: Welcome to America, where we tell people to “pull themselves up by their bootstraps” while simultaneously charging them 20% interest on the “bootstraps” they had to buy on credit just to get to a job that doesn’t pay a living wage.

The Wealth K-Curve: Welcome to America, where the top 1% now controls over 31% of all household wealth—the widest gap in three decades—while the bottom 50% are told that “inflation” is the reason they can’t afford eggs.

The Retirement Lie: Welcome to America, where we have a “booming” stock market that 90% of the wealth from is owned by just 10% of the people, while the average worker’s 401k is just a gambling account for a retirement they will never actually reach.

The Medical & Scientific Dissonance

The Vaccine Paradox: Welcome to America, where we have developed mRNA technology that can literally eliminate cancer and stop global pandemics, yet we have a populace that claims vaccines cause autism based on a debunked study from a disgraced doctor who hasn’t practiced in decades.

The “Sanctity” of Life: Welcome to America, where the “Right to Life” ends at the birth canal. We will spend millions in legal fees to protect a zygote but won’t spend ten cents to ensure that same child has lunch at school or a home that isn’t a tent in a parking lot.

The Obesity-Hunger Paradox: Welcome to America, where the poorest people are often the most obese, not because they are “lazy,” but because the government subsidizes corn syrup and processed chemicals while making a fresh head of lettuce a luxury item. We are starving and overfed at the very same time.

The Work-Life Death Grip: Welcome to America, where we are told that “hard work” is the only path to success, yet the hardest-working people in the country—those working three jobs just to pay rent—are the ones most likely to die in poverty.

The Healthcare Lottery: Welcome to America, where we have the most advanced medical technology on Earth, but we are the only “developed” nation where a single medical emergency—like a cancer diagnosis or a major surgery—is the leading cause of personal bankruptcy.

The Purity Trap: Welcome to America, where people will protest a mask for “oxygen deprivation” while living in cities with air quality so poor it causes permanent lung damage, and drinking water from infrastructure that still contains 19th-century lead.

The “Socialism” for the Elite

The Billionaire Safety Net: Welcome to America, where “Socialism” is a dirty word until a bank fails or an airline mismanages its billions. Then, suddenly, the taxpayer is the “silent partner” in every corporate failure, while remaining a complete stranger to every corporate profit.

The Military Handout: Welcome to America, where we “don’t have the money” for high-speed rail or universal preschool, but we just signed off on a trillion-dollar defense budget to protect a “global order” that most Americans can’t afford to participate in.

The Farmer’s Irony: Welcome to America, where politicians romanticize the “independent family farmer” while handing 70% of agricultural subsidies to the top 10% of massive corporate monocultures that are currently poisoning the very soil they claim to love.

The Educational & Infrastructure Failures

The Zip Code Destiny: Welcome to America, where we claim “education is the great equalizer,” yet we fund schools primarily through local property taxes, ensuring that a child’s quality of education—and their entire future—is decided by the wealth of the neighborhood they were born into.

The Degree Trap: Welcome to America, where we demand a $60,000 degree for a job that pays $40,000 a year, and then call you “irresponsible” for taking out the loan the system forced you to sign.

The Crumbling Future: Welcome to America, where we spend $15 billion to add a single lane to a highway that will be congested again in six months, while our bridges are rated “structurally deficient” and our public transit is treated as a “welfare program” rather than an economic engine.

The “Christian” Nation: Welcome to America, where we claim to follow the teachings of a man who fed the poor and healed the sick, yet we actively vote against the very programs that would do exactly that.

The Legal & Civil Parallax

The Right to Bear Arms: Welcome to America, where it is okay to carry a firearm for personal protection—until you support a political party or movement that I do not.

The Protest Dichotomy: Welcome to America, where “Free Speech” is a shield used to protect hate speech, but a sword used to cut down students protesting for human rights on a college lawn.

The Border Wall of Hypocrisy: Welcome to America, where we want to build a wall to keep out the very people who harvest the food we eat, clean the offices we work in, and provide the labor that keeps our “inflation-adjusted” prices from spiraling out of control.

The Tracking Paradox: Welcome to America, where we are terrified of a government “chip” in our arms, yet we voluntarily carry high-resolution cameras, microphones, and GPS trackers in our pockets—and pay a monthly subscription fee for the privilege of being tracked by corporations.

The “Small Government” Bedroom: Welcome to America, where we want the government “out of our lives,” unless the government is needed to monitor what happens in a private bedroom, a doctor’s office, or a library’s “restricted” section.

The Digital Repair Law: Welcome to America, where you “own” your $1,200 smartphone, but you are legally a criminal if you try to open the case to fix the battery yourself.

The “Freedom” of Incarceration: Welcome to America, the “Land of the Free,” which holds the highest per-capita incarceration rate on the planet—turning “liberty” into a commodity sold by private prison corporations.

The Veteran Gap: Welcome to America, where we spend billions on “Defense” to create veterans, but “cannot find the budget” to house them, treat their PTSD, or keep them from dying by suicide at a rate of 17 per day.

Editorial Conclusion: The Stitches Are Failing

When you analyze these facts—the 160 million job gap, the biological myth of race, the $27,000 family healthcare premiums—you realize that America isn’t a country anymore; it’s a private equity firm with a flag. We are a nation of individualists who demand conformity, and “freedom-lovers” who are obsessed with what our neighbors are doing behind closed doors.

As a Journalist for The Stanley Garland Citizen, my job is to point at the flickering neon letters and tell you the sign is broken. We are living in an illusion. We can’t fix a foundation that we refuse to acknowledge is crumbling.

Introduction: The Circularity of the Void

The traditional understanding of sanity operates on a binary scale. At one end lies the “sane” individual, anchored by social norms and predictable sensory input. At the other lies the “insane” individual, whose internal map no longer aligns with the external territory. This linear model, however, fails to account for the phenomenon of recursive clarity.

When a conscious mind is subjected to a transfinite environment—one devoid of traditional time, social feedback, or sensory limits—the initial reaction is often a total breakdown of the ego. This is the stage of chaos. Yet, chaos is an exhausting process for a complex system. Just as a physical system seeks the path of least resistance to conserve energy, a mind trapped in a state of perpetual dissonance will eventually “tire” of the effort required to remain fractured.

The transition that follows is what we define as the Paradox of Transfinite Sanity. It is the moment where madness becomes too monotonous to sustain. When the mind can no longer find novelty in its own confusion, it begins to organize the surrounding void. It stops fighting the lack of structure and begins to perceive the underlying mathematics of existence.

In this state, sanity is not regained; it is transcended. The individual does not return to the simplistic “normalcy” of their peers. Instead, they achieve a state of recursive equilibrium—a sanity so absolute that it appears indistinguishable from the madness it replaced, yet operates with a clarity that is purely objective. This work aims to map the architecture of that transition and the ethical imperatives that naturally arise when one perceives the universe through a lens of transfinite logic.

The current federal classification of cannabis as a Schedule I controlled substance is not merely a legal relic; it is a direct contradiction of modern biological science and an enduring symbol of a racially motivated political strategy. To claim that a plant with proven neuroprotective, antibacterial, and anti-seizure properties has “no currently accepted medical use” is to ignore a mountain of peer-reviewed evidence. If we are to be a society guided by reason and equity, federal legalization is the only logical path forward.

I. The Neurological Frontier: Molecular Engineering of Neurogenesis

For nearly a century, medical dogma asserted that the adult human brain was a static organ. This was shattered by the discovery of neurogenesis in the hippocampal dentate gyrus. Research published in The Journal of Clinical Investigation and Nature Reviews Neuroscience has demonstrated that the endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a primary regulator of this process.

The Biochemical Pathway of Growth

Cannabinoid receptors are G Protein-Coupled Receptors (GPCRs) that initiate complex intracellular signaling waves when bound by ligands like THC or CBD:

CB1 Receptor Architecture: Primarily located on presynaptic terminals, CB1 receptors couple with G{i/o} proteins. When activated, they inhibit the enzyme adenylate cyclase, leading to a reduction in cyclic AMP (cAMP) levels. This specific suppression triggers the MAPK/ERK (Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase) pathway. This signaling cascade has been shown to stimulate the proliferation of neural stem cells, effectively providing the “code” for the brain to manufacture new cells.

CB2 Synergy and Differentiation: Once thought to exist only in the peripheral immune system, CB2 is now known to be present in the central nervous system. Activation of CB2 receptors further promotes the differentiation of these stem cells into functional, mature neurons, ensuring that new cells are not just created but integrated into existing neural circuits.

Neuroprotection and Mitochondrial Repair: Unlike alcohol or nicotine, which cause neural atrophy, cannabinoids act as a buffer against oxidative stress. By stabilizing mitochondrial function—the “powerhouse” of the cell—cannabis is being studied as a primary defense against neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. It doesn’t just “protect” the brain; it provides the biological building blocks to maintain its plasticity and structural integrity over time.

II. Clinical Efficacy: Managing and Curing Epilepsy

Perhaps the most undeniable proof of the plant’s medical utility is its impact on seizure disorders. For many patients, cannabis is not just an alternative; it is the only effective treatment.

Anticonvulsant Mechanisms: Cannabinoids modulate neuronal excitability by regulating the release of neurotransmitters. CBD, in particular, has been shown to interact with the GPR55 receptor and TRPV1 channels to reduce the excessive “firing” of neurons that leads to seizures.

The Epidiolex Precedent: In 2018, the FDA approved Epidiolex (a purified CBD extract) for the treatment of seizures associated with two rare and severe forms of epilepsy: Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and Dravet syndrome. The federal government currently finds itself in the impossible position of maintaining marijuana as a Schedule I substance (no medical use) while simultaneously regulating an FDA-approved drug derived directly from it.

Life-Saving Results: In clinical trials, some patients experienced a near-100% reduction in seizure frequency. By blocking federal legalization, the government is effectively denying thousands of American citizens access to a botanical compound that can manage, and in some cases functionally cure, life-threatening neurological electrical storms.

III. The “Superbug” Shield: Apoptosis and Antibacterial Efficacy

The federal government’s refusal to acknowledge marijuana’s medical utility is increasingly absurd in the face of its efficacy against some of the world’s most dangerous pathogens.

1. The Cancer Equation: Inducing Programmed Cell Death

Cannabinoids demonstrate a “selective toxicity” that standard chemotherapy often lacks. Through CB1 and CB2 signaling, cannabis can induce:

Apoptosis: The upregulation of the synthesis of Ceramide, a pro-apoptotic sphingolipid. This triggers Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER) stress, leading to the activation of the p8/TRB3 pathway, which effectively “turns off” the survival signals in tumor cells.

Autophagy: The plant can force cancer cells to digest themselves by inhibiting the AKT/mTORC1 pathway, a primary driver of tumor growth and survival in aggressive cancers like glioblastoma.

2. Punching Holes in MRSA

In an era of antibiotic-resistant “superbugs,” compounds like CBG (Cannabigerol) have shown the ability to eradicate MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) within 60 minutes. It disrupts the bacterial lipid membrane and “biofilms”—the sticky shields bacteria use to resist traditional medicine—offering a tool that the federal government’s current scheduling prevents from reaching the public.

IV. Delivery Ethics: Why Edibles are the Gold Standard

While the plant’s chemistry is miraculous, the method of consumption is a matter of toxicology. The “lung-rocking” damage of cigarettes is due to combustion—the burning of organic matter which creates carbon monoxide and tar.

For those seeking clean medicine, edibles are the superior choice. When ingested, THC passes through the liver and undergoes first-pass metabolism, converting it into 11-hydroxy-THC. This metabolite is significantly more potent and crosses the blood-brain barrier more efficiently than inhaled THC. This “Liver Transformation” provides systemic, long-lasting relief without the pulmonary pollutants and respiratory irritants associated with smoking or vaping.

V. A Legacy of Control: The Racial and Political Origins of Prohibition

To understand why a medicinal wonder was criminalized, we must look past health and toward power. The prohibition of marijuana was a calculated act of social engineering.

The Tax Act of 1937: Harry Anslinger, the first commissioner of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics, famously used “Yellow Journalism” to demonize the plant. He rebranded “cannabis”—a term used in pharmacies for decades—as “marijuana” to give it a “foreign” sound, specifically targeting Mexican immigrants and Black jazz musicians. His rhetoric was explicitly racist, claiming the drug made “white women seek sexual relations with Negroes.” He also claimed it caused a “blood lust” that led to violent crime, despite no clinical evidence.

The Nixon Doctrine: In 1994, John Ehrlichman, a top advisor to Richard Nixon, admitted that the “War on Drugs” was a tool to disrupt Nixon’s two main enemies: the anti-war left and Black people. He stated: “We knew we couldn’t make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders, raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news.”

VI. Military Research: Performance and Protection at JBLM and Beyond

The hypocrisy of federal policy is most evident in military research. Installations like Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) where my mother was stationed for most of my life as a field medic and the Edgewood Arsenal have long studied cannabinoids under the guise of “biomedical defense” and “soldier resilience.”

The JBLM and Tactical Research Connection: Throughout the mid-to-late 20th century, research was conducted on how cannabinoids could mitigate the effects of chemical agents and nerve gases. Studies explored the ability of CBD to act as an anti-convulsant against organophosphate poisoning, a common threat in chemical warfare. The government recognized that the ECS could be “pre-primed” to protect the nervous system from irreversible damage.

The Siler Report (1933): In the Panama Canal Zone, Colonel Joseph Franklin Siler found that cannabis was not habit-forming and recommended its removal from the list of restricted substances.

The “LaGuardia Report” Paradox: Despite the military’s own data showing that cannabis use among soldiers did not lead to moral or physical decay, the federal government chose to bury these findings in favor of political narratives. The research conducted at these bases effectively used the plant to solve the very medical problems (seizures, neurological trauma) that the government claimed it could not treat.

VII. Indigenous Heritage and Botanical Sovereignty

We must respect the botanical history of this continent. While the “Peace Pipes” of many Indigenous tribes traditionally utilized sacred tobacco or herbal kinnikinnick they did on rare occasion use Marijuana, the use of plant-based medicine is an ancient right.

Medicinal Traditions: Tribes such as the Cherokee and Blackfoot have long traditions of botanical mastery. Indigenous cultures across the Americas adopted cannabis after its post-colonial introduction, integrating it into their pharmacopeia for its analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.

Botanical Rights: Criminalizing a plant that provides “the building blocks of life” is an overreach that violates both scientific truth and cultural heritage. Sovereignty includes the right to cultivate and use the earth’s flora without federal interference, especially when those plants are integral to physical and spiritual health.

VIII. The Economic Mandate: A $200 Billion Opportunity

By 2026, the U.S. cannabis industry is projected to reach nearly $47 billion in annual revenue, despite federal obstruction. If legalized federally, the total economic impact is estimated to top $200 billion by 2030.

Metric

2026 Projection

Total Economic Impact

~$123.6 Billion

Full-Time Jobs Supported

425,000+

Tax Revenue Potential

$25+ Billion

Public Support

87% (Any form of use)

Federal legalization would allow for standardized testing, interstate commerce, and the removal of the “280E” tax burden that prevents small businesses from thriving. It would shift billions of dollars from the black market into public infrastructure, schools, and scientific research.

Conclusion

The federal government is currently standing on the wrong side of history, biology, and justice. We have a substance that can heal the brain, kill cancer, and fight superbugs, yet we keep it locked behind a classification reserved for the most dangerous, useless substances on Earth. It is time to end a war that was always about race and corporate greed, and finally embrace a policy that reflects the reality of the 21st century.

Introduction: The Invisible Wall

There is a fundamental isolation in the human experience. We are locked behind a singular set of eyes, processing the world through a private internal monologue that never stops. This creates a natural, albeit dangerous, illusion: the idea that we are the protagonists of reality while everyone else is merely part of the scenery. When we see a stranger in distress or a news report of a distant crisis, that wall of isolation often prevents us from feeling the weight of it. If we cannot feel their pulse or hear their thoughts, are they truly as alive as we are?

In the modern digital landscape, a Discord server is often the beating heart of an indie game’s brand. For developers like Duality Beyond Studios or EternityDev or any emerging studio or hell just any community like SpaceGameJunkie’s, these spaces are not just chat rooms; they are high-stakes PR environments where community sentiment translates directly into market longevity. However, there is a growing crisis in digital governance: the rise of the “Shadow Hierarchy.” When a studio abdicates its community leadership to a decentralized group of volunteers, they aren’t just outsourcing labor—they are outsourcing their brand’s sovereignty.

The Failure of Automated Due Process

The first casualty of over-leveraged moderation is usually due process. Many high-traffic servers rely on bots and rigid SOPs that favor speed over accuracy. We see this most clearly in the “Instant-Reject” appeal culture. When a user is caught in a conflict, the system often flags the reaction rather than the incitement.

As a professional in PR and Marketing, I view every unexamined ban as a failure in Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) management. If a loyal player is framed by a bad actor and then silenced by an automated script, the brand has essentially fired its own advocate. In the intelligence world, we understand that a signal is only as reliable as its context. Community moderation that ignores context isn’t “keeping the peace”; it’s pruning the population without an audit trail.

The “Weakest Link” Theory

A community policy is a legal and ethical framework, but in practice, that framework is only as strong as the person hitting the “ban” button at 3:00 AM. Volunteer moderation comes with a unique set of risks:

The Bait-and-Switch: Sophisticated bad actors know how to “game” a moderator’s training. They send threats in disappearing DMs or use “algospeak” to incite a public reaction. When the target snaps, the mod—seeing only the public outburst—completes the bad actor’s work.

Power Assertion as Performance: For some, moderation becomes a tool for social dominance rather than safety. When a mod asserts power for personal satisfaction rather than policy enforcement, they become a PR liability that can lead to “revenge reviews” and community fracturing.

Reclaiming Digital Sovereignty

To protect the integrity of a project, developers must treat community management with the same technical rigor they apply to their code. This means:

Auditing the Auditors: Regular reviews of moderation logs to ensure rules are applied evenly, not emotionally.

Human-Centric Appeals: Moving away from “one-click” rejections. If a user claims a frame-up or a threat, that case requires a human investigator, not a bot.

Documentation Standards: Emphasizing attributed evidence over “mod intuition.” As a Journalist, I know that if it isn’t documented, it didn’t happen.

When we prioritize control over communication, we don’t build a fortress—we build a vacuum. And in the vacuum of a banned community, the only thing that grows is the noise of those we chose not to hear.

For two decades, I have navigated the intersection of media and technology. Today, I am moving beyond the role of an observer to contribute a new piece of architecture to the global imaging community. I have officially released a defensive technical disclosure for a Dual-Sided BSI-CMOS Image Sensor with Integrated Microfluidic Thermal Management.

The Problem: Physics vs. Perception

Current 360-degree cameras rely on multiple sensors mounted back-to-back. This introduces a “parallax gap”—a physical distance between optical centers that makes seamless stitching nearly impossible for objects at close range. Additionally, stacking high-resolution sensors in small bodies creates extreme thermal density, leading to noise and hardware failure.

The Solution: A Unified Silicon Substrate

The architecture I am proposing utilizes a single-wafer design with active pixel arrays on both opposing faces. By using Back-Side Illumination (BSI) and Through-Silicon Vias (TSVs), we can create a sub-millimeter distance between sensor planes, effectively eliminating the stitch line.

To handle the heat, the design integrates etched micro-channels directly into the silicon. By circulating a dielectric coolant through these channels, we can remove heat directly from the center of the sensor “sandwich,” enabling higher frame rates and sustained performance.

Why Open Source?

I believe that the future of cinematography and mobile imaging should not be locked behind restrictive patents that stifle small-scale innovation. Therefore, I have released this disclosure under the CERN Open Hardware Licence Version 2 – Permissive (CERN-OHL-P). This allows any engineer, student, or filmmaker to use, modify, and build upon these concepts, provided the original authorship is acknowledged.

You can read the full technical disclosure and access the permanent record via the DOI link below.

This weekend, the shadow of federal overreach met the light of local resistance. In an unprecedented show of solidarity, over 700 residents across Puyallup and Milton joined the “ICE Out for Good” national mobilization, transforming local streets into a battlefield for the soul of American democracy.

The spark for this fire was the January 7 killing of Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old mother and poet. Good was shot in the head by an ICE agent in Minneapolis while pulling her car away from federal officers. Despite official claims of “self-defense,” the people of Pierce County have seen the bystander videos, and they are rightfully calling it murder.

Puyallup: A High-Water Mark for Local Dissent

The day began at 11 a.m. at the intersection of 35th Avenue SE and South Meridian on the 10th of January. What began as a vigil by Indivisible Puyallup quickly swelled into a crowd of 500+. Protesters lined both sides of the corridor, forcing every shopper and commuter at South Hill Mall to witness the names of those killed by the current administration.

This war on workers has linked the immigration struggle to the national strikes currently rocking the country.
The Face of the Regime: Jonathan Ross

The man at the center of the Minneapolis tragedy, Jonathan Ross, is an experienced ICE officer and firearms instructor. Documents reveal that Ross was previously injured in a June 2025 incident where he was dragged by a vehicle. Critics argue that Ross’s history indicates a pattern of aggressive tactics, including reaching into moving vehicles—a maneuver that directly led to the fatal shots fired at Renee Good.

Local Complicity: The Sheriff’s “Dead Right” Warning

The tension in Puyallup was further inflamed by Pierce County Sheriff Keith Swank, who recently posted a warning on social media: “If law enforcement tells you to stop, STOP. Even if you are right, do you want to be dead right?” Protesters characterized Swank’s comments as a threat to the community. While Washington law prohibits local agencies from assisting federal immigration raids, Swank has signaled a desire to bypass these protections, leading to chants of “Sheriff Swank, whose side are you on?” throughout the day.

Know Your Rights: If ICE Knocks

Do Not Open the Door: ICE cannot enter your home without a judicial warrant signed by a judge. An “administrative warrant” signed by an ICE official does not give them the right to enter.

Stay Silent: You have a constitutional right to remain silent. Tell the officer: “I am exercising my right to remain silent.”

Record Everything: If it is safe, record the interaction. Documentation is the only weapon against a “self-defense” narrative that contradicts the truth.

Ask if You Are Free to Leave: If stopped in public, ask this question. If the answer is yes, walk away calmly.

REMEMBER: ICE are not police, their uniforms may say “ICE Police” or even just “Police” but the only laws they are meant to enforce are Border and Immigration laws, without a JUDICIAL Warrant, they should have no authority over US Citizens that are not near a border

As the sun set over Puyallup and Milton, the portraits of Renee Good remained held high. The message from the people was clear: the era of silent compliance is over. The “ICE Out for Good” movement is no longer just about immigration; it is about the right to live without fear of one’s own government.

The regime may have the guns, but they do not have the streets.

As this year concludes, I am reflecting on a journey that has taken me from the forefront of indie game marketing to the heart of digital and ecological advocacy. My goal has always been to become a versatile force in media, and 2025 has been the year that foundation became a reality.

Professional Milestones in Gaming and Media

My role as the PR and Marketing Manager for Duality Beyond Studios has been incredibly rewarding. This year, our flagship project Beyond Frontiers was featured in PCGamer Magazine. I had the privilege of representing the studio at Revision 2025, where I helped present Starship Hivemind in the game competition through Internet Relay Chat (IRC). We also secured placements in the photo and paintover competitions, The momentum continued at Polaris 2025.

Beyond marketing, I have continued my work as a Voice Actor and Video Editor, creating the teasers and trailers that bring our projects to life.

Literary and Journalistic Achievements

This was a landmark year for my writing. I successfully mass-published my first four books, which are now available on platforms including Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble, and other services through Books2Read. I also self-published 1 philosophy book and three news articles here on my personal website.

To support my commitment to ethical media, I earned several high-level certifications this October:

NBCU Academy: Fundamentals of Journalism.

Thomson Foundation: Completed seven intensive courses covering News Writing, News Analysis, Advanced Writing, Rethinking Disinformation, Mobile Journalism, and Audience Engagement.

inStreamly: Earned a certificate in Gaming Marketing.

and many more

Advocacy and Environmental Leadership

My commitment to a sustainable future was formalized through three key roles this year. I am honored to serve as a My Green Labs Ambassador and an ecoAmerica Ambassador. These roles allow me to advocate for laboratory sustainability and climate action.

I also deepened my scientific understanding by earning certificates for The Power of Ecology: Shaping a Sustainable Future, Biology 360: From Molecules to Ecosystems, and Geology 101 through Universal Class.

Global Connectivity and The Internet Society

In December, I joined The Internet Society. My involvement is focused on the future of an open and accessible internet. I am currently an active member of the US Hawaii Chapter and have pending applications for the Interplanetary, New York, San Francisco Bay Area, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles Chapters.

Additionally, I am contributing to the following Special Interest Groups and Standing Groups:

Digital Rights and Safety: Cybersecurity, Online Safety, Encryption for Everyone, and Internet Policy.

Inclusion and Accessibility: Accessibility Standing Group and Gender Standing Group.

Emerging Tech and Education: Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and Internet for Education.

Community and Future Growth: Affordable Internet Access, Youth Standing Group, and Community Portal Updates.

Diplomatic and Civic Responsibilities

This year also marked my entry into micronationalism in the service of the Kingdom of Emuþia and the Grand Duchy of Flandrensis, marking me as a Knight Of The Order Of The Melting Mountain. In late 2025, I was appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Emuþia, More recently, I accepted the role of Director for the Offices of Organized Crime Control for Emuþia. These positions allow me to apply my communication and organizational skills to unique governance challenges.

Spiritual and Personal Growth

In October, I was ordained by six interfaith, non-denominational churches and then codified my own ministry reachable here @ The Stanley Garland Ministry where I am working on a new certification standard, adding another layer to my diverse set of experiences. Throughout all these professional endeavors, I have continued my studies at Bates Technical College and maintained my creative passions for photography, cinematography, and playing guitar.

Looking Toward 2026

I am entering the new year as a published author, a certified journalist, a game industry professional, and a diplomatic officer. The diverse skills I have gathered this year are not just accolades but tools I am ready to use.

Thank you to everyone who has supported these ventures.

To the readers, colleagues, and friends of this platform,

As we reach the heart of the holiday season, I want to extend my warmest wishes to you and your families. This time of year offers a unique opportunity to pause and appreciate the connections that sustain us, whether through our professional endeavors, creative projects, or personal communities.

This time of year is often defined by light and celebration, yet it also serves as a poignant reminder of our shared responsibility to one another.

While many of us gather in comfort, we must acknowledge that the holidays can be a season of profound difficulty for others. We see this struggle within our own circles, as is the case for a close friend of mine, who is currently facing the reality of homelessness. His situation is a stark reminder that the true essence of this season lies in the spirit of giving and the strength of our empathy.

I encourage everyone to look for ways to support those in need, whether through direct action, community service, or simple acts of kindness. Let us ensure that the spirit of the holidays is measured by how we lift those who are struggling.

While I look forward to sharing a comprehensive look back at the milestones of this past year in a few days, today is simply about gratitude and peace. Whether you are celebrating Christmas or enjoying the quiet of the winter season, I hope these days bring you rest and rejuvenation.

Thank you for being part of this journey. I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful holiday break.

Warmly, in service and faith,

Stanley Garland

Introduction: The Screen, The Shadow, and the Surge

We were promised a global village—a forum for democratic discourse, a library of Alexandria available to all. For a generation, we cheered the internet as the ultimate tool of liberation, capable of connecting every voice and dissolving authoritarian distance. Yet, the reality we inhabit today feels less like a village and more like a continuous digital battlefield.

This is not an accident of human nature manifesting online; it is an effect of design.

This book argues that the dominant platforms and interaction models of the internet have done more than merely reflect our aggressive tendencies; they have actively coded them into our cognitive processes. The internet is not a passive tool we wield; it is an environment that imposes a set of deeply persuasive behavioral rules. These rules—optimized for engagement, friction, and emotional arousal—have systematically fostered a state of perpetual cognitive offense in the human mind.

We are forced into a constant state of defense, where every scroll is an exercise in identifying a threat, and every response is framed as a counterattack. Our digital life is governed by what we call “The Offense Engine”: the self-perpetuating system of economic and psychological incentives that rewards outrage, prioritizes polarization, and trains our most ancient biological hardware—our threat detection system—to be perpetually “on.”

To understand this transformation is to begin the process of liberation. This work serves as an analysis of the ethical fallout, the psychological costs, and the resulting philosophical shift in what it means to be a modern human being connected to a global network built on antagonism.
